ProQuest has partnered with to create Ancestry® Library Edition, one of the most important genealogical collections available today. It has unparalleled coverage of the U.S. and the U.K., including census, vital, church, court, and immigration records, as well as record collections from Canada and other areas. This collection of more than 4,000 databases and 1.5 billion names is essential to having a complete genealogy collection and its valuable content is a strong complement to HeritageQuest Online. This resource is only available in the library only. It may not be accessed from a personal computer.

Heritage Quest

A resource for census data, family records and local histories. This collection assembles every extant U.S. federal census, banking and military records, genealogies, local histories, primary source materials, and genealogical and local history serials. An ongoing project (new content is added weekly), HeritageQuest Online will grow to encompass obituaries, Freedman's Bank Records, Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant index and additional materials. Oldham County Public Library patrons can access this collection using computers in the library or elsewhere. You will need to have a library card to log in.

Kentucky Virtual Library

The Kentucky Virtual Library is a group of databases that provide information for academic research, for life-long learning, and for entertainment and enlightenment. These databases provide the full text of periodical articles from popular magazines and academic journals. NoveList is a database that provides information about fiction series titles and fiction genres. These databases are provided to the citizens of Kentucky by funds from the state and from participating libraries. Current KY library card required for ID and password. Ask your librarian.

With Learning Express Library students and career seekers are able to take advantage of unlimited access to online practice exams and learn at their own pace. Take the 4th & 8th grade basic skills, SAT, GED, GRE, GMAT, Praxis I PPST, ASVAB, among other Academic and Career Placement tests and get instant scoring and customized evaluation. Universal Class

Through Universal Class, Oldham County patrons have access to lifelong learning courses in over 30 subject areas, many of which offer continuing education units (CEUs). More than 500 courses are available, and all are designed and led by professional instructors to build deeper understanding and mastery of subject matter. Universal Class includes videos, assignments, quizzes, tests, and options for social media interaction with other learners. Patrons may take multiple classes and learn at their own pace. From technical courses on computer software to digital photography to babysitting 101, a huge range of topics is available. Universal Class offers courses in Exercise and Fitness, Entrepreneurship, Arts and Music, Home and Garden Care, Cooking, Computers and Technology, Health and Medicine, Homeschooling, Job Assistance, Law and Legal, Parenting and Family, Pet and Animal Care, plus hundreds more.
