Library Director

Works collaboratively with the Library Board, staff, and community to provide high quality library services for a county of 60,000+ contiguous to Louisville. Oversees all aspects of library service, including but not limited to, personnel management, fiscal management, 3 facilities, policy development and implementation, public relations, strategic planning, and carries out public service duties as needed. Responsible for the ultimate success of the Library.

 

Library Assistant- Children's Library (Main)

Supports the library’s mission by (1) assisting customers in the use of library materials and services; (2) carrying out circulation procedures (3), checking library materials in and out and registering new card holders, and (4) assisting other library staff with variety of library and collection maintenance tasks as assigned.

 

Children's Extension Programmer

Under the general direction of the Children’s Services Librarian, the Children’s Extension Programmer provides library services and programming for children up to twelve years in age. The Children’s Extension Programmer conducts both branch programming and offsite Outreach programming interacting with the public and with other staff. A Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development or elementary education, or combination of some post-secondary education and relevant work experience is required. Experience with children’s programming and/or children’s literature is preferred.
